We love to share recipies and will gladly share ours with anyone who cares to visit us here. We also have come across recipies from others that we find equally delightful. Not wanting to steal someone else's recipe we will not post it without permission but if we do find something published in a cookbook or someplace else we will happily point you to it.

Cookies
We love cookies. Plain or fancy, big or small, we love cookies, we love them all! How could we not love cookies when most of us began baking helping our moms make chocolate chip cookies.

So in the spirit of The Gorilla Baking Company we offer these recipes and simple guidelines for wonderful cookies.

Yeast doughs
For some reason as afraid as people are of baking they are most terrified of yeast. We gorillas really aren't sure what is so frightening. Is there anything better than the smell of bread. It's irresistible.

We think it's the yeast. How hot should the water be that you add to it? What happens if the yeast and water don't rise? What if I can't get back to the dough after it has risen for the right amount of time? We'll show you a few of our tips and tricks for making this simple and not so scary.

Biscuits & Scones
Biscuits and scones have always been the most frightening for us. Why, you ask, would a mighty gorilla who has no fear of most things baked be afraid of a simple biscuit or scone? Precisely because they are so simple. With biscuits and scones there is no place to hide!

Here we will share our techniques for overcoming our fears and making some great biscuits and scones.

Cakes
We love cakes. Making a cake from scratch is really simple. Decorating it, at least for us, is the big challenge. Let's face it, gorillas are not known for neatness and in cakes, neatness definitely counts! So of the all the areas of baking human beings fear, this is the one we best understand.

But we've faced our fear and come to terms with it and will share the techniques we use for cakes that taste as good to the eye as they do to the tongue.
